Introduction to Safeguarding
Safeguarding children is an important issue, and all healthcare professionals, including community pharmacy colleagues, have a responsibility to act where they consider a child to be at risk of abuse.
This responsibility for safeguarding ensures that cases such as Victoria Climbie and Baby P do not occur again.

Note: This module provides information on safeguarding and overall policies. It does not replace formal safeguarding training. All training must be done by an appropriate provider (such as the NHS, your local safeguarding board, or CPPE in England, WCPPE in Wales, and NES in Scotland). The minimum level of safeguarding training for pharmacy professionals (pharmacists, trainee pharmacists, and pharmacy technicians) is level 2 for all areas of safeguarding.
