FACT - Cholesterol is a silent killer.

Heart UK estimates there are over half a million adults in England who have a raised cholesterol (>5mmol/L)1. Having a high level of cholesterol typically causes no symptoms, but if left untreated will increase the risk of developing serious health conditions such as a heart attack or stroke.

Pharmacies can play a really important role with helping their community identify if they are at risk of high cholesterol by running a screening service and provide advice, which could help you to save a life.

This module will equip the team with the knowledge needed to run an effective cholesterol service in pharmacy.
