There are no obvious signs or symptoms for prostate cancer until the prostate is big enough. This is when people will start to notice changes to the way they urinate.

Some things that those assigned male at birth will experience include:

  • A need to urinate more often
  • Having been to the toilet, the bladder may feel it hasn’t been fully emptied
  • Straining whilst urinating

It’s important not to ignore the signs above, it may not be prostate cancer but another condition such as an enlarged prostate.
