Talking about prostate problems can be a very difficult conversation for men to have, and even more so for those that are trans women, non binary or intersex so it’s important that you treat them with respect and try and have your conversations in a private area of your pharmacy such as consultation room.
There are a number of tests which can be conducted via the GP to diagnose prostate cancer such as:
- Blood tests
- A physical examination carried out on the prostate – known as Digital Rectal Examination
- MRI scan
- Biopsy
