According to Prostate Cancer UK, they say the biggest risk factor of developing this type of cancer would be age. Prostate cancer is most likely to develop in those assigned male at birth over the age of 50 but it could be diagnosed earlier.
A second risk factor is if there is a family history. Those assigned male at birth whose father or brother has had prostate cancer are 2.5 times more likely to develop the disease.
Thirdly, consider the ethnicity. Research shows that people of Afro Caribbean origin are most likely to develop cancer and it may develop earlier than in other ethnic groups.
Lifestyle may also increase the risk of prostate cancer therefore following a healthy diet will play a role in preventing the disease from occurring.
