Being the most common cancer in men in the UK, it is reported that prostate cancer usually develops slowly; many men will have it for years before spotting any signs¹. Prostate Cancer UK estimates there are 1 in 8 men who will get prostate cancer at some point in their lives.²

Unfortunately, most men will not know where the prostate is and what it does, when put together with their reluctance to talk about their symptoms, this seems to be one of the biggest barriers to improving diagnosis. This is where pharmacy can make a real difference to men so they don’t feel like they left in the dark - it is normal to talk about! This module will up skill the team’s knowledge of prostate cancer and how you can play an important role in raising awareness.
