Hair Growth Cycle
The growth of hair may seem like a simple process but there are four phases. The whole cycle lasts for a few years for each of your hair strands on the scalp. The first 3 phases cover the growth and maturation of hair and the activity of the hair follicles that produce individual hairs. The final phase is when the old hair sheds and is replaced by a new hair.
