Warts are usually a harmless, but unsightly lump on the skin. They are very common and will usually disappear on their own although they can take months or years to go.

Warts are caused by a virus and can occur anywhere on the body. They can be anything from 1mm to 1cm in size. There may only be one wart that develops, or they could develop in clusters. They vary in shape and size but can be classified by how they look.

Warts are contagious and can be spread by contact with contaminated surfaces or through close skin contact.
