module menu icon Treatment for Warts

Warts don't always have to be treated as they can disappear without treatment. In children they can usually disappear within 1 - 2 years, whilst in adults they could take up to 10 years to disappear.

Treatment can help to clear warts more quickly, however treatment can take a long time and can also be painful. It is recommend that warts should be treated only if the patient is in discomfort or pain.

There are two types of treatment available, salicylic acid and freezing treatments. You will need to use your WWHAM questioning techniques to ensure you recommend the best product for your patient.
