Patients should be advised to:-

Sickness can spread easily to others and patients are at their most infectious from when symptoms start until 2 days after they have passed. They should avoid school or work until their symptoms have stopped for 2 days.
To help prevent the infection spreading patients should:-

- Wash their hands with soap and water frequently
- Washing dirty clothing and bedding separately on a hot wash
- Clean toilet seats, flush handles, taps, surfaces and door handles daily
- Don't prepare food for others
- Don't share towels, flannels, cutlery and utensils
