Psoriasis is a skin condition that causes red, flaky, crusty patches of skins.
These patches normally appear on the elbows, knees, scalp and lower back, but they can appear anywhere on the body. Sometimes the patches can be itchy or sore.
The severity of psoriasis can vary from person to person, from being a mild irritation but for others it can majorly affect their quality of life.
Psoriasis can flare up followed by periods where symptoms are mild.
Psoriasis is often diagnosed by their GP and patients may be under a specialist.
