Pharmacies in England need to be compliant with HLP as it is a contractual agreement whereby you must demonstrate you meet the requirements as set out in the HLP Framework and collect appropriate evidence before self-declaring HLP status. 

HLP is about the quality which must be consistently demonstrated in the pharmacy in order to maintain the status, so it shouldn’t be seen as a tick box exercise.
