Nebulisers allowed on prescription?

Q: Are Nebulisers allowed on prescription?

A: Nebuliser solutions are listed in the Drug Tariff for England, Wales, and Northern Ireland but NOT the Nebuliser units. However in the Scottish Tariff, Nebulisers, solutions and accessories are listed as being available to order by General Practitioners.

The equipment is available for use by General Practitioners to supply on a GP10A (stock order form).

The current items that can be prescribed are detailed on page 273 of the May 2018 Scottish Drug Tariff.

Phoenix wholesalers stock a range of Nebulisers and can be contacted on Tel: 01928 750693.
