This module is to increase knowledge of supporting customers with tick bites. Insect bites, including those from ticks, are a common ailment presented to community pharmacy and climate change is causing an increase in tick-related illnesses. Some of these illnesses can be serious and patients may not always realise they have been bitten by a tick. This module aims to support you with identifying tick bites in patients and how to support them. It will also cover measures to prevent tick bites.
