Steroid Nasal Sprays
When sprayed into the nose, steroids reduce inflammation – caused by histamine release in response to an allergen. This can help relieve symptoms such as sneezing and a runny or blocked nose. Because the medicine is mainly absorbed in your nose, it has very little effect anywhere else in your body. Therefore they are considered to be very safe to use.
