The groups eligible for the NHS funded flu vaccination programme are the same as last year, with the inclusion of people aged 50-64 years expected to be from the start of the flu season rather than midway through*.
The groups include:
- Patients aged 65 years and over.
- Patients aged 50-64 years*.
- Those aged 18 to less than 65 years of age and in clinical risk groups.
- Pregnant women.
- Those in long-stay residential care homes.
- Carers.
