module menu icon At risk groups for NHS flu vaccination programme 2021/22

The groups eligible for the NHS funded flu vaccination programme are the same as last year, with the inclusion of people aged 50-64 years expected to be from the start of the flu season rather than midway through*.

The groups include:

  • Patients aged 65 years and over.
  • Patients aged 50-64 years*.
  • Those aged 18 to less than 65 years of age and in clinical risk groups.
  • Pregnant women.
  • Those in long-stay residential care homes.
  • Carers.

Further updates in the eligible groups will be found in the NHS flu vaccination service national Patient Group Direction 2021/22 when it is made available.
