Symptoms of allergies
The symptoms associated with an allergy will depend on the allergen or the site of the body affected but can include:
• Runny nose
• Itchy skin, eyes, ears, lips and throat
• Sneezing
• Wheezing or shortness of breath
• Coughing
• Skin rashes such as hives
• Sinus pain
• Sickness and diarrhoea
• Anaphylaxis (a severe symptom which will be covered in more detail later in the module)
