Summary

During this module you have covered the basic principles of communicating with your team and you should now feel confident in giving feedback.

This module has covered:-

  • Communicationisn't always easy - it does take time to consider the best approach to take with different people
  • Never forget to provide a reason why
  • Learn to provide feedback on a more regular basis
  • Provide feedback in a more structured format to help an individual understand how they are performing.

Next Steps

We want you to put what you have learnt into practice in your pharmacy so that your communication techniques can be practised and improved. You should now think about reviewing the methods of communication use within your pharmacy, is there anything that could be done better? Develop an action plan of how you will communicate important information to your teams. Look for opportunities to provide feedback to your team about their performance adapting your style based on the models we have covered in this unit.

You can download this sheet to record your commitments and keep this with your training records.
