Managing Change Effectively
There are three key factors that help us to understand and manage change effectively. These are:-
- Understanding people's reaction to change
- Allowing people to adapt & accept change
- Managing organisational factors
On the next three slides we will look at each of these key factors.
Think about the following scenario and how you would react in this situation. How would you feel and what concerns would you have?
Scenario:
You are working in a small pharmacy providing both prescriptions and retail items. Rumour tells you that your business is combining with a larger pharmacy group which has a head office and distribution centre 30 miles away. You know it has very different rules of operations, customer service, working hours and sells some product lines you are not familiar with.
