Whilst understandably people may be worried about raising their concerns publically, it is important that this form of open environment is encouraged within community pharmacy along with other healthcare providers. It is only through open and honest communication that risks to patient safety and inappropriate actions will become apparent and the consequent risk removed. Legislation protects workers who speak out about issues that impact patient or public safety.
