When is tick season?

Tick season in the UK is usually between March and October but ticks can also be active on warmer winter days.

We should be aware of ticks all year round because some of the symptoms of a tick bite can take 2-3 months to develop (Tick bites | NHS inform). And, if the customer has travelled to a tick endemic country in the southern hemisphere e.g. Australia, their tick season will be October through to March as the seasons are opposite. Climate change is also having an effect by increasing the activity of ticks outside of these times so we should be prepared to think about ticks all year round.
