Whilst playing sport or doing regular exercise is good for your health, injuries can occur for a number of reasons:

  • Not stretching before or after exercise (known as warming up and down).
  • Using inadequate equipment.
  • Over exertion.
  • An accident.

 

Types of Sports Injuries

Broken bones, cartilage and ligament damage and severe head injuries are more serious but less common injuries and won't be covered in this module.
