RSI is caused by the long term repetitive overuse of muscles, tendons and ligaments which mainly affects the upper body e.g. wrists, elbows and shoulders. RSI is also known as muscle compartment injury because the muscle swells inside its protective sheath. The most common types of RSI are tennis and golf elbow.
The main symptom of RSI is persistent, severe pain which can also be accompanied by inflammation. The recommended treatment for RSI is RICE therapy.
