Pharmacies accredited as a HLP or a Health + Pharmacy will be awarded a quality mark which they are required to maintain. As part of this they must have a health promotion zone or area in place within their pharmacy. 

A health promotion zone/area is a clearly defined and accessible area of the pharmacy which will be set up and maintained by a health champion / health and wellbeing adviser. It should be replenished regularly to ensure the materials are up to date and in line with national and local public health campaigns.
