Diabetes UK is the leading charity behind helping people affected by diabetes - they estimate there are currently 4 million people within the UK diagnosed with the condition1. It is known for doubling the risk of developing heart and circulatory disease.

Sadly there's an additional one million people who may be living with the condition without knowing they have it. Running a diabetes screening service is an opportunity to engage with people who may already have diabetes or are at a high risk of developing it. The service will in addition highlight that pharmacy is more than a place for medication but a place where they can receive expert advice on their health.
