Sleep
|
- It is suggested that adults get at least six to nine hours sleep every night. By finding out what time they need to wake up, they can set up a regular bedtime routine

Healthy Eating
|
- Eating healthy will keep your heart healthy and boost energy levels
- Decrease your salt (no more that 6g or about a tea spoonful a day)
- Cut down on high sugar and fat content foods – check the food labels on readymade food
- Eat at least 5 portions of fruit and vegetables a day

Decrease caffeine intake
|
- Consider cutting down on caffeine rich drinks such as fizzy drinks and tea/coffee. It is fine to drink this as part of a balanced diet but not as the only source of fluid.
- Do not exceed more than 14 units of alcohol per week on a regular basis
- Space out the units in the week, don’t drink them all at once
- Try to have several alcohol free days

Stress

- To keep stress levels to a low, some people may want to participate in relaxation exercises such as yoga, alternatively you could learn techniques to manage the stress
