This module has highlighted why oral hygiene is important and as a healthcare advisor you are in a prime position to advise patients on how to keep their teeth clean, prevent tooth decay and recommend the right products.

Supporting health awareness days such as 'Oral Cancer awareness month' in November or 'National Smile Month' in May, can help to introduce the topic of oral health to customers and demonstrate it is something that the pharmacy can support them with. This could be done by running an awareness campaign within the pharmacy presenting a great opportunity to promote the selection of products you have available.
