The role of Flu Champion is to enable you to positively promote the flu vaccination service in multiple ways:

• Know the benefits of having a flu vaccine.

• Know the ‘at risk’ groups of patients who are eligible for a free flu vaccination on the NHS – check with your service lead.

• Promote flu vaccinations within your pharmacy via leaflets, posters and health promotion.

• Explain how they can access the service and book an appointment.

• Engage with community organisations e.g. care homes, faith groups to promote the service.

• Remember, this is a fantastic opportunity to raise the overall profile of your pharmacy!
