Follow the below top tips to ensure you have everything in place to support your customers this winter...

  • Know where your products are kept! It may be obvious to you, but is it visible for all to see? Do you have sufficient signs so customers can confidently find products? If you do not have this in place, you can obtain free shelf edge inserts by clicking here.
  • Do you display leaflets on winter ailments e.g. common cold or indigestion that provide self help information?

  • Are you aware of the features of benefits of the OTC products you stock? As a pharmacy, you will sell a range of brands, own label and unbranded items which effectively do the same job but it is essential to know what the differences are between these products to be able to sell them effectively. Link selling is where an additional product is sold to enhance the original product the customer is buying or linked to the reason they are buying it. Are you comfortable to link sell? If not, consider discussing ideas with your manager or work with a colleague to help you identify what products or services can be link sold. The key thing to remember is always ask your WWHAM questions!
