According to the NHS, migraines affect around every 1 in every 5 women and 1 in every 15 men.
A migraine is much more than a headache - it’s a severe pain which is often hard to understand, unless you have experienced it yourself. Migraines appear as a throbbing pain to the head and it doesn’t just affect your head, it can affect the whole body which can have a real impact on the quality of your life.
Symptoms for a migraine include feeling nausea, vomiting and an increased sensitivity to light or sound. Some migraine sufferers will experience ‘migraine attacks’ frequently or several times a week whilst others will get them occasionally.
