If a customer reports any of the following symptoms you should refer them to the pharmacist:-
- Green, yellow or brown mucus/phlegm
- Coughing up blood
- Chest pain, shortness of breath or wheezing
- A cough that has lasted for more than three weeks
- A cough that is worse first thing in the morning, at night or after excercising
- Unexplained weight loss.
This is not an exhaustive list and you should speak with your pharmacist to find out if there is anyone else they would like you to refer.
