Indigestion is caused when the acid in the stomach irritates the stomach lining or throat. This then gives the feeling of discomfort and pain in the upper abdomen and chest.

Indigestion is a common problem and it can be triggered by certain foods and drinks, overeating, eating too fast or other health problems.

With indigestion you may experience a number of symptoms:-

  • Heartburn
  • Pain in the upper abdomen or chest
  • A feeling of discomfort
  • Loss of appetite
  • Nausea
  • Burping
  • Flatulence
  • Bloating
  • Bringing up food or bitter tasting fluids
