You need to be aware of the following red flag symptoms. If a patient presents with any of the below they should be referred to the pharmacist:- 

  • If the patient has any wheezing or shortness of breath
  • If the patient is experiencing any tightness of the chest
  • Painful ears or sinuses
  • Patients with pus-like discharge from the eyes
  • If the patients suffers with asthma
