You need to be aware of the following red flag symptoms. If a patient presents with any of the below they should be referred to the pharmacist:- 

  • If they have any pain or blood when passing urine
  • Recurrent or persistent UTI
  • Bladder or urethral pain
  • Associated faecal incontinence
  • Sudden incontinence
